Earn & Learn Scheme

Earn & Learn Scheme

Introduction

The Earn & Learn Scheme is a pioneering endeavor dedicated to enriching the educational journey of college students by intertwining practical experience with academic pursuits. Founded on the principle that hands-on engagement augments traditional learning, this initiative offers a structured platform for students to not only earn a livelihood but also refine their skills and broaden their knowledge through real-world exposure.

By seamlessly integrating work experiences into their academic schedules, participants gain invaluable insights and competencies that transcend classroom teachings. This symbiotic approach fosters holistic development, wherein students excel academically while also cultivating the practical expertise demanded by today’s competitive job market.

The Earn & Learn Scheme serves as a catalyst for nurturing a highly skilled workforce, equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow’s professional landscape.

During the 2023-24 academic session, the Learning Resource Centre of the college took the initiative to participate in the Earn & Learn Scheme facilitated by R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur. Subsequently, the university approved the engagement of two students through this scheme. These students were assigned duties within the library, gaining practical knowledge and skills related to various library operations.

Under the scheme’s guidelines, the students dedicated three hours per day to their responsibilities within the library. In accordance with the regulations set forth by R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur, the students received remuneration. Specifically, 75% of their compensation was provided by the university, with the remaining 25% funded by the college.

This collaborative effort between the university and the college not only facilitated the students’ financial support but also provided them with valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting. Through their participation in the scheme, the students not only contributed to the operations of the library but also enhanced their own academic journey by acquiring practical skills relevant to their field of study.
